Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa - دبي

When I booked this hotel, there were a mix of positive and negative reviews so I wasn't sure what to expect but the hotel was excellent. The location is perfect for Dubai old town and the souks, and the hotel is right next to Dubai Museum. The hotel was sparklingly clean, check in staff were friendly and the rooms were great. Check in includes a free ten minute taster massage at the spa and getting a deal with breakfast included will make life easier. If you choose to eat in the hotel then there are variety of restaurants although the 'typical' English bar is typically disappointing. I would stay here again without a doubt.

My first visit was in Nov 2008. I found that the service in the hotel was great. However, my second visit was very disapointing. The service had been slack for example toiletries wre not fully replaced, the safe was not working for a day and after 4 phone calls nobody turned up to fix it. I was sent to the public beach on the day where it was ladies only on that particular day. On the other hand this hotel is good value for money and most of the staff are great - The door man is very friendly too. The hotel is also in a great location opposite the musuem and nearby the creek.

Great location and resturants in the hotel have great food...only wish is that they had WI-FI but there is a computer in the lobby for a fee

Excellent location opposite Dubai Museum and close to Creek. This was our 4th stay here. Staff friendly and helpful. Good breakfast buffet. In house chinese restaurant really good but numerous cheap eateries/restaurants within walking distance.Very good value for money compared to high prices at the big beach hotels. Highly recommended and we will be back.

We stayed twice in April on our way to Australia and then on our way back again. It was extremely baby friendly, the staff really made our stay pleasant. If you do not want to stay in a hotel chain type place, but a place with character and be in the heart of the more historical part of Dubai then this is the place for you.

If you're in Dubai to check out the restored historical sites (e.g. Bastakiya, Al Fahidi Fort/Museum, Heritage House, Al Ahmadiya School, the SMCCU), want to take the abra/boat across the creek to the souks in Deira and be a reasonable taxi ride away from most everything else, I cannot say enough about the location of this hotel. I'd give the location 10 stars if I could as much of the above was within walking distance. As for the hotel itself, the front desk, bellhops and doormen are top-notch. The breakfast buffet, while expensive, was very good. I did not eat at the other restaurants nor use any concierge/tour booking services so I cannot comment on those. The room was very well maintained by a diligent cleaning staff. Here's the one thing to beware: There is a nightclub adjacent to the hotel and the lower-floor rooms on that side allow the noise to come through clearly. If you're counting on a good night's sleep after an insanely long travel day, make sure you are put in a room numbered 500 or higher. Rooms like 200-208 are going to be miserable (higher numbered rooms like 220 are on the other side of the building and probably avoid the noise). The hotel was kind enough to move us the next day from our loud room, but that first night was brutal.

The hotel was less than $20 cab ride from the airport. It was very comfortable and welcome. A few clubs are located in the near area with many resturants and other attractions. The staff and in hotel services were wonderful.

Selling point of this hotel is the superb location for visiting the Dubai Museum (directly across the street), wandering around the Bastakiya traditional artists' quarter and through the textile souk, and taking the abra across the water to Deira (abra terminal only 5 mins away on foot). Room was fine, spacious and clean, but hotel generally is a bit tired and not somewhere you'll want to spend any time. For a destination hotel with amenities, go elsewhere - but for a place to stay in the heart of old Dubai, this is pretty good.

We stayed here 7 nights and were overall very satisfied. It's in the older part of Dubai so be prepared for a $20/30 minute cab ride to most places. However, the area around the hotel provides a great feel for Dubai's history and culture. You can walk to the creek, ATM, grocery shop for your daily breakfast and explore several Souk's! My favorite part about this hotel was their restaurants! We had great food all week and all were very reasonable in price. Tip: you get free daily bottle water in your room which means don't drink the tap water! I am sure it is fine but it's not worth getting sick on your vacation!

Good hotel, friendly staff. Excellent location for the various souks. gym and pool area are a bit on the small side.

We had bed bugs in our bed - my wife itched at night then woke up with over a dozen bites. The hotel also broke the handle off our luggage while storing it - bashed the suitcases around more than the airport. Hotel is in a great location - very convenient for walking around, seeing souks, etc.

I stayed at this hotel on a business trip and shared a room with a co-worker. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of room. This hotel is in a great location for shopping (both in the local neighborhood and across the creek) and has great easy access to Sheikh Ziad road. The English Pub at the hotel was nice and had very entertaining live music. The hotel staff will valet your car for you for free.

The swimming pool was a disappointment; small and no view and the ‚live band’ wasn’t performing due to the bar been closed for a public holiday. Nevertheless, the hotel was pleasant and the spa offered a wide range of treatments, though a little expensive!

Booked in extremis after I checked out of a hell hole elsehwere in Deira I was very pleased with the Hotel. Freindly helpful staff and a good standard in all areas. The lifts were a bit of a mystery and at times seemed to have minds of their own. Extra charges to use the sauna, steam room and whirlpool seemed a bit excessive on top of what was already a substantial room charge and the gym machines were a bit old. Overall though I would recommend it despite the bus tours that were filling the place. Its right by the Dubai museum and just along from Old Souk Abra station so Ideal for doing the tourist thing. The Sikh doorman who hails taxis with his whistle is an absolute star and well worth just watching for the entertainment value.

The Arabian Courtyard is located across from the Dubai Museum and is close to the textile souk and the Heritage area on the Dubai Creek. Hence it is a perfect choice for those of us who like to walk to places of interest. The room was well appointed, clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel. It offers excellent value for the money.

The Arabian Courtyard is extremely well-located in the old town, opposite the museum. For people who prefer a bit of culture, it really is a wonderful spot. A good choice of restaurants - Indian, Chinese/Thai and Mexican, as well as a coffee shop and a pub. The room was lovely - we actually got upgraded to an executive room! The pool is small, but ok if you fancy a quick dip. The hotel staff were all friendly and always smiling. If I went back to Dubai, I'd definitely stay at the Arabian Courtyard!

Situated right in front of the old market and the museum, the hotel provides a very comfortable location for sightseeing without having to endure the Dubai traffic. The staff are very friendly, the services modern, and the food variety/quality excellent. If I return to Dubai my wife will join me and I will definitely return to the Arabian Courtyard.

This is a great value hotel with a lot to offer. It has 3 restaurants - Indian, Thai and Mexican - and an English pub to round the evening off. The hotel and the rooms were immaculate and the service was great. The location is good as it is in the centre of Bur Dubai near to the Creek. Considering the above the rates are great value for money.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone not wanting a beach side holiday. Walkable distance to the Creek, Dubai Museum and the Bastikiaya area. A little further around the Creek is the Heritage Centre and Sheik Sayeeds house with the Persian Towers. A twenty minute walk. Restaurants in the hotel were reasonably priced and the attention to detail was superb. The pool area is small but very well designed. The Spa , which I didn't use appesred cooland calming and another time I would make an effort to use the facilities. We arrived five hours before check in time but it was not a problem and were given a room with a view of the Museum as requested. Further mention must be made of the good attitude of all the pool attendants, room cleaners and generally everyone in the service areas.

We only stayed at the Hotel for 2 days on a transfer to Beijing but will be booking to go back and have a proper Dubai experience. The staff, service, location and quality of the hotel was fantastic and gave us a taster of the old town and culture.

Excellent. Staff cannot do enough for you. Ideal position. Clean. Nice Bar. Good restaurant.

hotel room had all the accessories to provide maximum comfort... nice crisp sheets, big bed, good tv well positioned, easy chairs,(could've been more comfortable), and a nice bathroom. it was just on the edge of the old part of dubai,,, walking distance to the old markets, museums, the river. 45 minute free bus ride to the beach... only a few hotels right on the beach in Dubai, and I think they were at least double the price of this one. the air conditioner went beserk in our room. we couldn't control it, so had to sleep under lots of blankets

This Hotel was a very well maintained hotel next to the Dubai Museum. I guess it is a 4 Star Hotel in Dubai but may be very close to a 5 Star Hotel anywhere else. The complimentary massage was very nice, the rooms were in excellent condition as well as the rest of the hotel. The swim area was being remodeled. It is 1 AED for a water taxi ride across Dubai Creek to the Gold Souk and the hotel is 5 minutes walk to Dubai Creek. The price for this Hotel was an outstanding value. It has a pub that is ok and a restaurant/ breakfast buffet next to the pub. It also has two other restaurants, fitness room and spa. Everything is well hosted including the spa and fitness room. it is great for my money

I was treated with such great care. I am usualyy treated as if I am special but I felt so catered to and safe. The spa was awesome, my room was spacious and Arabesque themed. I had fresh fruit compliments of the hotel daily and as much bottled water as I asked for. I LOVED the whole experience. There was a fabulour Indian restaurant with live entertainment. I am a hotel designer and it exceeded my expectations!

The service from the staff at the hotel was excellent. We enjoyed the pool and the restaraunts. The room however left much to be desired. The bed was some sort of "health benefit" according to the staff but it was flat and close to sleeping in a sleeping bag on the ground. We requested a different room and after being shown a few decided all the beds where the same. My husband and I had met at this hotel while he was in the middle of a Naval deployment and he was looking forward to sleeping in his rack on the ship after sleeping in the bed.The room also lacked any comfortable furniture, no where to just relax and watch TV, there was a table and two hard wood chairs. We would definatly not stay there again, much prefer the Marriott.

Das Hotel war eigentlich ganz o.k. Leider waren wir von dem Frühstücksbuffet sehr enttäuscht. Es gab an 2 Tagen Wurstplatten (reden wir lieber nicht darüber), Scheiblettenkäse in Folien eingepackt als Käseplatte, Obstsalat schwamm in Orangensaft und auch ansonsten machte das Büfett keinen appetitlichen Eindruck. Donnerstags wendete sich dann das Blatt und es gab ein akzeptables Frühstück, ??? Die Bedienung im Frühstücksrestaurant war auch nicht der Hit. Bei Nachfrage von Tee, tat sie so, als ob sie uns einen Gefallen tun müsste. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und geräumig. Ich werde dieses Hotel leider nicht unbedingt weiter empfehlen, da ein appetitliches Frühstück für mich sehr wichtig ist. Ich war schon im Orient Guest House, was auch zu diesem Hotel gehört, da ging es wesentlich appetitlicher zu.

Overall service quality is good. Easy access. Fast, but only wired internet!

Good location, excellent breakfast & lunch buffet, helpful & friendly staff, spacious, clean, well preserved rooms. If you get a room with a view all the better- I didnt. Very neat Gym and pool area. I would recommend it to anyone who cant afford the resort kind of hotel in Dubai. Plus it's close to the creek and the markets rather than isolated in the middle of nowhere like most resorts over there

Nice hotel and good value for money if you go for their bargains. I would not pay theur full price tough.... Take an offer with breakfast buffé. Verry nice! Verry friendly staff. Nice Indian and Chinese restaurant in the hotell. Pool area at 1st floor ( i had prefered a rooftop pool). Rather small pool area. Nice little spa at the hotel. Resonable prices. Close to the creek a super market 1 block away. The beach shuttle only leave once a day - preebooking neded.

Tres bon service. Les restaurants sont bien. L'hotel se trouve dans la vielle ville donc un peu loin de la plage mais navette gratuite. Petite piscine.

Uitstekend hotel. Zeer goede service, heerlijk uitgebreid ontbijt. Vriendelijk personeel. Ruime en uitstekend verzorgde kamer. Het hotel ligt in het oude centrum van Dubai in een drukke straat. Als men aan de voorkant slaapt is het vrij rumoerig vanwege het verkeer. Het strand en de shopping malls liggen redelijk ver uit de buurt. Ca. een half uur met de taxi, prijzen taxi zijn goedkoop. Bedrag afhankelijk van aantal km, niet de reistijd. Men betaalt maximaal Dhs. 60 (Euro 12,50) voor de afstand naar het strand of de diverse grote malls.

i stayed for a week and was very pleased. There is airport shuttle service, friendly staff, good location in central part of town. Dubai museum, the old souk, Bastakiya and the creek is within a few minutes walking. The pool area is small, not exactly impressive but nice and clean, and there is a complimentary shuttle service to the Jumeira beach park. I had an executive room with breakfast included. Internet worked perfectly, valet parking was free for the guest, and no problem finding a taxi outside the hotel if wanted. I would definitely recommend it.

Vis a vis Museet, kort vei til båt over kanalen og Gold Soak og Krydder Soak. Rundturbuss ved Museet - borbindelse til andre busser. Gå til høyre ved kanalen og man har tivoli-strøk. Hotellet har SPA i tillegg, i det heletatt er hotellet i strøket. Har god erfaring med hotellet i forbindelse med arbeid i tillegg.
